About the event
Belly Dance Foundations for Total Beginners is a fun, supportive online workshop designed for absolute beginners—no experience, special flexibility, or “dance background” required. In 90 minutes, you’ll learn the core building blocks of belly dance step-by-step: posture and alignment, hip and ribcage isolations, beginner-friendly shimmies, and simple transitions that help everything feel smooth and natural.
We’ll break each move down slowly, drill it in a way that actually sticks, and then put it all together into an easy mini-combo you can practice after the workshop. You’ll also get practical coaching on how to practice at home without getting overwhelmed, plus options and modifications if you need something low-impact on the knees or back. Come as you are. This is a no-pressure space to learn, play, and leave feeling more confident in your body.
