We are honored to welcome an exceptional artist to this year’s Caravan of Dancers XIII in Orlando, Egyptian Teacher and performer, Mar.
Born and raised in Egypt and now based in California, Mar brings the spirit, musicality, and cultural essence of Egyptian dance to every class and performance. Her connection to the music and movement of her homeland gives her dancing a natural authenticity, blending the elegance of Raqs Sharqi with the unmistakable feeling and expression that define Egyptian dance.
As a performer and instructor, Mar is passionate about sharing not only movement and technique, but the feeling, character, and cultural understanding behind the dance. Her teaching encourages dancers to move beyond simply learning steps and instead develop a deeper connection to Egyptian music, interpretation, and expression.
We are thrilled to welcome Mar to Caravan of Dancers XIII, traveling from California to Orlando to share her Egyptian roots, artistry, and love for Raqs Sharqi with our dance community.

The Egyptian Choreo Experience Workshop:
Step into the vibrant world of Egyptian dance with Mar in The Egyptian Choreo Experience. Through a dynamic choreography, dancers will explore the technique, musical interpretation, expression, and unmistakable character that bring Egyptian Raqs Sharqi to life. Learn how to connect movement to the nuances of the music while developing fluid transitions, expressive accents, and authentic Egyptian styling. More than simply learning choreography, this workshop is an opportunity to experience the artistry, feeling, and cultural essence behind the dance.
